Sapphire
Aged 7 years. Vaccinated neutered microchipped. Sapphire was with a girl working with horses who had owned her since she was approx 8 months old. Her accommodation was dependant on her job and sadly she lost both and had to give up both her dogs. Sapphire can be boisterous but settles quickly in the home. She is clean in the house, used to horses, good on the lead, ok with cats and has lived with another male dog although she is not good with strange dogs. She is ball obsessed and will happily play ball all day but she is possessive over her toys and would not like another dog to take them. She is good in the car and likes to be with you although she can be left. Sapphire is good with people including children but she is a strong, solid dog and due to her boisterousness and ball obsession she would be better in an adult home or with children over twelve. She would be suited to a home with horses or a largish garden where she can play ball. She has now been with us for over a year and although still active she is getting older and is less keen to come out on colder, damp mornings, she sometimes gets a bit stiff first thing, and really deserves a home of her own for her senior years with a warm bed she can retire to after her run. Please don't let this lovely girl spend another winter in rescue.

Sandy
Sandy came from a disabled family . DOB May 2007. Sandy is a lovely looking dog who is greatly admired by people we meet on walks. She was originally kept in a flat and not walked. She is vaccinated and spayed. She has now been with us for 6 months and has been fully assessed. We have attended a five week foundation training course with her, she is not food orientated but responds to toys. She has also been to agility where she is very bold. She is a high energy, slightly obsessive nature and would be best suited to a home where she is the only dog preferably on a one to one or with a couple, in a quite home where she is the main focus. She would benefit from a medium/large garden where she could play with a ball or toy. She is good on the lead and needs chance to have a daily off lead run, her recall is good but she does go some distance away so would need access to a safe area away from roads or railway lines. She shows no aggression when meeting other dogs but is "silly" when meeting dogs or people jumping up and squirming around. With a regular routine, she would improve. Good in car. Not cats. Sandy requires an understanding home with someone who is willing to invest some time and effort she is a lovely dog who deserves a bright future and a home of her own.

He is OK with most dogs especially the ladies but due to the fact he has never lived with another it may be best he is the only dog. He has been waiting a while and we dont know why he is a lovely boy.

Angel
White / medium Age 5 years DOB June 2006 vaccinated / Neutered/ Chipped Angel has been returned to us after over two years in a home. She originally lived with a male Stafford and had a litter on her first season. She used to play roughly with the male dog in the garden but was not walked. She chased her tail to the point where it was bleeding. In her recent home she has been very well trained including agility classes, knowing several commands but they have been unable to overcome her bad reaction when meeting strange dogs on walks. Now with the added complication of a one year old son and wishing to take family camping holidays they feel Angel would be better with a more experienced owner. She is fine in my house, taking no notice of the other dogs, although she is not loose with them. She walks happily with dogs she has been introduced to gradually, but will lunge and growl at strange dogs walking towards her. She is calm in the house, likes a fuss. Likes tea. Angel will be suited to an experienced home who can provide confident, calm handling and a regular routine. She would benefit from an area that is not highly dog populated. She is good on and off lead. She has a strong hunting instinct. No cats. Not suited to kennelling. Angel's success write up and agility photos can be found here.

Jessie
Jessie 3and half tiger brindle spayed vaccinated medium taller Jessie was taken in by a couple when her owners ababdoned her in a local park. Jessie loves people and cuddles and has lived with children. She is very clean in the house. She loves to run and chase birds. She is not good with other dogs on walks and should not be homed with cats.

Treacle
21 month old brindle slightly leggy girl (Born 9th March 2010) Spayed, Chipped and Vaccinated This lovely girl came to rescue at 4 days old with her 2 sisters and brother She is therefore a very special girl to this rescue and especially Helen and Paul who raised her at 4 days old She has since a small puppy been living with 3 other dogs – a collie, Stafford and border terrier, several cats, rabbits and chickens She is used to a busy house with small children She is unfortunately being re-homed because she is finding the busy house a bit much for her and therefore a quieter life will be best for her so she can calm down and therefore being the only dog would be best where she can get the attention she deserves.
